LYCA Mobile UK has told their staff they could be cutting as many as 90% soon. .  According to the Guardian (link below) staff at the Lycamobile’s headquarters in London were told that the company was facing “pretty serious challenges” and was planning to cut up to 316 jobs, leaving as few as 48 in the UK. Boost Mobile is getting closer to meeting FCC coverage deadlines by the end of the year and has claimed the title of MNO (Mobile Network Operator) instead of MVNO (Mobile Virtual Network Operator.) Phone Arena reports (link below) T-Mobile will face fraud allegations, including deceptive practices, following a ruling by the New York State Supreme Court. T-Mobile has recently enacted a policy that cuts indirect dealer stores out of T-Mobile Tuesday promotions. Dealers were not given a chance to “opt-out” – they were cut out by T-Mobile. In addition, Dealer goals have been raised while compensation has been lowered. It certainly seems they are actively trying to drive the dealers out of business. Read more…
