The National Advertising Division of the Better Business Bureau has told T-Mobile to stop claiming they are the “most reliable” 5G network.  The claims are based on a report from German research firm umlaut which analyzed multiple carriers’ 5G coverage, subscribers’ ability to connect to 5G networks, and download speed. According to the T-Mo Report (link below), T-Mobile has made some changes to its in-house warranty program,  Protection360. As we mentioned yesterday, the CPUC has approved the Verizon/Tracfone merger, and today word comes down that FCC Chair Jessica Rosenworcel circulated an order among the commissioners to approve the deal.  Sources told Reuters the deal could be approved by the four-member FCC as soon as later on Friday.  The deal was approved by the Justice Department Read more…

The California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has approved the $6.25 billion Verizon acquisition of Tracfone. The CPUC statement said it received commitments from Verizon to enhance service quality and benefits for impacted customers, including those participating in a “phone service subsidy” program (Lifeline.)
