We’ve found a great post about some FAQs regarding Boost and T-Mobile (network) – so we’ve re-posted them here. Right now, you must live in one of four trial markets (Colorado, Kansas, Pittsburgh, and Texas)  to activate on T-Mobile. Activations should start on May 15. Existing customers will not automatically be moved to T-Mo. They must upgrade Read more…

This coming Friday is May 1 – or 30 days after the Sprint/T-Mobile merger closed and became “official.” Will it be the day that Dish officially “adopts” it’s new baby Boost? To paraphrase the great Bugs Bunny – it might, rabbit…. it might. — NWIDA members, contact us today if you need our assistance and if you’re not Read more…

While the sale of Boost to Dish isn’t officially complete, the MVNO has begun offering service on the “new” T-Mobile network, in some areas – as has the Sprint brand. Currently only in select areas, they could launch this across the country by next month. Wave7 Research has noticed that Boost has been working to transition to Read more…

He’s done it again. During the merger process, John Legere announced he would step down as CEO of T-Mobile on May 1. But, he left a month early, resigning that position on April 1 – the day the merger closed. The plan was for John to stay on T-Mo’s Board of Directors. Which he did. Until the Read more…

According to an article in LightReading (link below) Shentel, a Sprint partner, could be soon purchased by “the new” T-Mobile. Shentel owns and operates it’s own network, but under the Sprint brand. When the merger closed, Shentel began to negotiate with T-Mobile and now it seems that T-Mo will simply purchase the company, it’s network and it’s Read more…

From the T-Mobile PR (link below) T-Mobile announced today that it has officially completed its merger with Sprint Corporation to create the New T-Mobile, a supercharged Un-carrier that will deliver a transformative 5G network. The parent of Read more…

T-Mobile wants this deal done. Now. Today. But since the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) isn’t supposed to meet until April 16th (and now, who knows when), T-Mo is taking a different route. So, per an article from Tellus Ventures (link below), T-Mobile and Sprint asked to withdraw their application for CPUC approval of the wireline elements Read more…

While the official vote date remains unchanged from April 16, the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) has proposed to conditionally approve the T-Mobile/Sprint merger (see below.) The CPUC recommends that T-Mobile encact “extensive conditions”, which they’ve already agreed to: Provide 5G wireless service with speeds of at least 100 Mbps to 99 percent of California’s population by Read more…

Another small step in the T-Mobile Sprint merger has taken place, as the “new T-Mobile” reached a settlement with California Attorney General Xavier Becerra. Becerra, co-led a coalition of 14 states in an unsuccessful attempt to end the merger in court. James announced last month she would not pursue an appeal after a judge ruled in the Read more…

T-Mobile has announced a merger completion date of April 1 (ironic, if you ask us), but the CPUC is insisting they won’t meet to discuss the last step in the merger until April 16. CPUC approval is needed for the merger to go forward in California. At least technically – the New T-Mobile could launch in April Read more…
