Per a Metro by T-Mobile dealer, NWIDA has learned that Metro will allow dealers to unlock BYOD to be used on the Metro (T-Mobile) network.
It’s not clear yet if Metro will assist the dealers in unlocking the devices or if the process will be up to the dealer.
Metro will still not be selling unlocked phones, but this is a better way for dealers to process customer BYOD phones and devices.

So metro is still not allowed to offer unlocked devices there all locked to the T-Mobile network but what if after a few months customers leave metro there phone will still be carrier locked even if they own their phone that is so stupid
