Verizon customers recently received a letter stating that their 3G network will be shut down no later than December 31, 2022.
In addition, the letter states that they are starting to suspend 3G customers by billing cycle:
Since they say 611 and Customer Service calls will still go through, it seems they are simply suspending these accounts and then will shut down the 3G network on January 1, 2023.
