MobileX announced it will cover the cost of wireless service for customers who’ve lost access to Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.

The offer includes unlimited talk and text plus up to 2 GB of high-speed data per month, provided for as long as SNAP benefits remain suspended. Customers must verify SNAP participation via the MobileX app or customer care to qualify.

New activations can be done through the MobileX app, MyMobileX.com, Walmart.com, or at more than 3,700 Walmart stores. Existing MobileX customers who are impacted can have their current plan covered during the disruption. The company notes the offer excludes new sign-ups to its $14.88 and $24.88 unlimited plans.

  • What’s included: Unlimited talk/text + up to 2 GB data/month, covered by MobileX during the SNAP disruption
  • Who qualifies: New or existing customers who verify SNAP participation and are affected by the benefit suspension
  • How to activate: MobileX iOS/Android apps, MyMobileX.com, Walmart.com, or in Walmart stores; support ticket or call 833-422-1053 for verification
  • Network and plans: Runs on a major 5G network; typical plans are customizable via the app and can start as low as around $3–$4 per month outside this offer
  • Fine print: Offer doesn’t include $14.88 or $24.88 unlimited plans for new customers; taxes and surcharges may apply
