Yesterday, we were invited to moderate a panel at Mobile Repair Dayheld inside the e-Summit conference. I was joined by Shay Kripilani of Injured Gadgets, Eric Houdek of PLP and Chad Johansson , a CPR franchisee.
We discussed the challenges of a local wireless repair shop, Apple and Samsung issues and how repair shops can generate more revenue.
I was able to see some of the other sessions, and walk the show floor as well. Some brief notes:
Apple has a new, very easy, way to remove/swap out batterie, beginning with the iPhone 16. There’s enough heat generated by a 9 volt battery to do it – and they had a live demo of it during their session.
This isn’t your typical “wireless show” but is a great conference for anyone doing repairs or e-recycling. We saw some AMAZING new tools for the repair community – and we’ll be writing more on that later.
If you’re on the repair side, or are thinking about adding repairs, check out this show next year. It’s certainly worth it!
