We are seeing quite a few repair shops saying that iOS 16 is causing many aftermarket LCD and OLEDs to blackout and not function – especially on the iPhone 12 series.
Customers with previously working phones cannot see anything on their screens after updating to the latest iOS. A number of shops have reported replacing the screens with OEMs have “fixed” the issue.
Repair shops should be EXTRA CAUTIOUS with this and perhaps to tell their customers NOT to update to iOS 16.0 at this time
