We’ve heard from more than one reliable source that AT&T is transferring many of their corporate owned stores to dealer-owned. In fact, we’ve been told that in some cases AT&T is willing to transfer the location to a dealer at no cost – with just the assumption of the current store lease.
Some of the larger AT&T dealers may have already taken over 50+ stores – and it seems like there will be more to come.
I doubt that AT&T would go 100% indirect, but it certainly appears they’re headed towards a larger percentage of independent dealers than the corporate stores.
