Batteries Plus was one of the first chains to become WISE certified – the wireless tech certification program sponsored by CTIA – and developed with Samsung among other manufacturers.
Now Samsung and Batteries Plus are expanding their partnership to make the stores official Samsung Authorized Service Centers. This will allow Galaxy phone owners to walk-in service for repairs. The program will launch this fall and will include 35 Batteries Plus stores to start.
Batteries Plus has been part of Samsung’s Independent Service Provider (ISP) program since 2018, primarily handling out-of-warranty repairs. Batteries Plus technicians at these locations will undergo Samsung Certified training.
“We know the important role that Galaxy smartphones play in people’s lives, and it can be inconvenient to part with it for an extended time due to repair,” said Mark Williams, Vice President of Customer Care at Samsung Electronics America. “Our enhanced partnership with Batteries Plus fills a crucial gap in communities where there isn’t an existing Samsung Care location or other authorized service centers. This means more customers can benefit from our customer-first care experience and get in-warranty repairs.”
Since Batteries Plus locations are WISE certifited, they are able to obtain Samsung genuine parts and equipment.
Consumers can schedule their repair appointments through BatteriesPlus.com, and the 35 Batteries Plus stores will be featured on the service locator on samsung.com.
