Big Blue’s turn.
According to information gathered from a Cricket Store, AT&T has “announced” (at least internally) their EOL (End of Life) for 3G (devices activation AND the network itself.)
The date is January 1 2020, and according to the information, after that date you will no longer be able to activate devices that do not support HD-Voice/VOLTE.
ATT is going to be “shutting down” their 3G network for consumers by 2022.
At this time, there are still questions to be answered but that’s the info we have to date. Of course, we will keep updating as we hear more.
