Insurance company Asurion, who purchased UBreakIFix in 2019 is now closing some of their stores, and re-selling some back to franchisees. Asurion turned a number of franchise owned stores into corporate owned stores over the last 4 years. We’ve seen the number as high as 200 stores are impacted.
Hundreds of Asurion (and UBIF) employees were let go in a corporate call.
A number of corporate owned stores were greeted with the following message when they tried to open-up and log into the corporate system last week:

In July of last year, Asurion reported layoffs that “could reach 1000” and they shut down Soluto, their R&D center in Israel.
