According to a text message (see below) Virgin Mobile, currently owned by Sprint in the US market, is shutting down and all customers will be automatically transferred to Boost.
NWIDA received a copy of the message late last night and was able to forward it to Peter Adderton and Wave 7 Research, both who tweeted about it.
YesWAP also tweeted the shutdown plans, located on Virgin’s website
