Well, we called it. We knew that when Verizon bought Tracfone, they wouldn’t hold on to all the different brands. And today, they’ve announced the “beginning of the end” for a few.
Thanks to a social media post from Tyler Childress (see below), we find Verizon has announced the end of Page Plus, Net10 and GoSmart. Effective November 1, new customers cannot be added to those brands – although their current customers can continue to refill. Retailers are being told that they can continue to sell Simple and TracFone brands.
