When Verizon announced the expected merger with Tracfone, it was presumed that Verizon would not continue to run the 8 or so brands that Tracfone owns. Well, the consolidation has begun.
According to the telcel home page, Telcel customers will “soon be part of the Simple Mobile family”
Telcel America was established in 2012 and carved a niche for itself by offering international service plans – along with the tagline One plan. Two countries. One service. Their plans worked in both the USA and Mexico.
Plans also included international calling to landlines and mobile phones in select locations. Simple Mobile also offers the same features that Telcel did and more – Simple Mobile customers get international roaming in 16 Latin American countries and Mexico.
