$5 Billion. Dish has reportedly agreed to a deal to buy assets from T-Mobile and Sprint. Bloomberg (link below) say that Dish will pay $5 billion, consisting of $1.5 billion for prepaid businesses and $3.5 billion for spectrum. According to a Reuter’s report (link below) the U.S. Justice Department may sue to block the merger of T-Mobile and Sprint if the parties do not settle next week. Reuters (link below) has reported that the T-Mobile and Sprint are planning to extend the July 29 merger deadline. Discussions are continuing, and while all sides remain optimistic they can find common ground, the WSJ report said.
