Just days after AT&T reached an agreement to acquire a significant portion of wireless spectrum licenses from EchoStar for approximately $23 billion, now SpaceX has agreed to acquire AWS-4 and H block spectrum for an additional $17 billion. In addition, SpaceX will pay $2 billion in current Echostar debt. In connection with the transaction, SpaceX and EchoStar will enter into a long-term commercial agreement, which will enable Boost Mobile subscribers to access SpaceX’s next generation Starlink Direct to Cell service. |
