T-Mobile Customer Data Breach… Again

T-Mobile _ NWIDAFor the fourth time in recent memory, T-Mobile has once again had a customer data breach. Actually, it’s the 8th time since 2018.

T-Mobile didn’t announce the breech, but put it in a recent financial filing. This time it’s data on 37 million customers – roughly 1/3 of their entire customer base.

The stolen data included:

“name, billing address, email, phone number, date of birth, T-Mobile account number and information such as the number of lines on the account and plan features,” since November 25.

The hackers, according to T-Mobile, didn’t breach any company system but rather entered via an API.

“Our investigation is still ongoing, but the malicious activity appears to be fully contained at this time, and there is currently no evidence that the bad actor was able to breach or compromise our systems or our network,” the company wrote.
