Mint and Ultra sold to T-Mobile

Mint Mobile - NWIDA Ultra Mobile _ NWIDA

Well, we’ve been hearing this “behind the scenes” for a few weeks now, but today it’s official. Mint Mobile AND Ultra have been sold to T-Mobile.

In addition, T-Mobile has also purchased Plum – the T-Mobile wholesaler.

Following the deal’s close, Mint’s founders David Glickman and Rizwan Kassim will remain onboard at T-Mobile to manage the brands, which will generally operate as a separate business unit. Owner Ryan Reynolds will continue on in his creative role on behalf of Mint.

T-Mobile will pay up to a maximum of $1.35 billion in a combination of 39% cash and 61% stock to acquire Ka’ena – the parent company of the 3 brands.
