Huawei Technologies’ exports back to China from a Silicon Valley unit are now being blocked, according to a story in The Wall Street Journal.
Citing anonymous sources, the WSJ said the U.S. Commerce Department barred Futurewei from sending back high-speed data-transfer technologies, a move that the Chinese telecommunications giant is contesting. Its imports to the U.S. have already been banned on national security grounds, and its chief financial officer extradited from Canada in December over alleged Iran sanctions violations
